Kenenisa Bekele

Ethiopian distance runner. Olympic champion in the 5,000m and 10,000m at the 2008 Beijing Games, held world records in both distances from 2004 to 2020, and holds the record for most individual gold medals at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships. Continued competing in marathons into his forties, including the marathon at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
